The objective of the assignment was to support the Central Procurement Board (CPB) of the Republic of Mauritius, to enhance transparency and equity in the execution of its mandate and duties. This entailed improvement to the current procedures by implementing best practices and enhanced tools in public sector procurement processes. The technical work included an assessment of the current public procurement practices and systems, including a gap analysis, benchmarking against best practices around the world and making recommendations in the context of Mauritius, as well as for capacity building in the area of best practices in the field of procurement.
