The Public Expenditure and Financial Accountability (PEFA) program provides a framework for assessing and reporting on the strengths and weaknesses of public financial management (PFM) using quantitative indicators to measure performance. Funded under the European Development Fund (EDF) programme, the assessment and recommendations of the Guyana country report sought to support the coordination of a program of policy and technical interventions facilitating the implementation of an active 2016 PFM Reform Action Plan, and supporting the government in the identification of areas of additional focus. The team has also provided an updated platform to improve PFM capacity across government.
