To support the Lithuanian authorities in achieving key priorities including achieving inclusive growth, boosting the labor supply, and increasing investment in human capital and innovation, a National Productivity Board (‘LNPB’) was established within the Ministry of the Economy and Innovation. The mission of LNPB is to monitor the state of the Lithuanian economy on productivity and competitiveness through sound indicators, to assess the potential effects of reforms on the main macroeconomics aggregates, to produce reports on an annual basis on the state of productivity and competitiveness and to deliver recommendations for further policy improvements. The specific purpose of this DG Reform-funded project is to provide analytical capacity to the Lithuanian National Productivity Board. Specifically, technical assistance would support the responsible national stakeholders in their ambition to increase the capacity of LNPB and other relevant stakeholders to formulate, develop, and implement integrated and coherent reform policies and strategies in such a manner that the consistency between goals and means across sectors would be attained.
