The general objective of the project is to provide technical services to national stakeholders, who are themselves responsible to contribute to institutional, administrative, and growth-sustaining structural reforms in Slovenia. The specific objective was to provide technical services to responsible national stakeholders, who themselves support the initiatives of national authorities to design their reforms according to their priorities and enhancing their capacity to formulate, develop, and implement reform policies and strategies and in pursuing an integrated approach, ensuring consistency between goals and means across sectors. This technical assistance services are provided to the responsible national authority, the Slovenian Ministry of Health (MOH), who were aiming to improve the quality of healthcare and patient safety in Slovenia. Specifically, the MOHs aims to achieve this enhancement through 1) Improved knowledge of challenges and opportunities in patient safety and quality of Care; 2) Strengthened patient safety culture and patient risk management; 3) Improved strategic planning and governance of the quality of healthcare system; and 4) Revised set of indicators for quality of care for hospitals, specialist outpatient care and primary care available, tested and communicated.
