Improving quality of healthcare and patient safety in Slovenia
The general objective of the project is to contribute to institutional, administrative, and growth-sustaining structural reforms in Slovenia. The specific objective of this service contract is to support the initiatives of national authorities to design their reforms according to their priorities and enhancing their capacity to formulate, develop and implement reform policies and strategies and in pursuing an integrated approach, ensuring consistency between goals and means across sectors. This technical assistance program will assist the Slovene Ministry of Health in improving the quality of healthcare and patient safety in Slovenia. Specifically, this will be achieved through 1) Improved knowledge of challenges and opportunities in patient safety and quality of Care; 2) Strengthened patient safety culture and patient risk management; 3) Improved strategic planning and governance of the quality of healthcare system; and 4) Revised set of indicators for quality of care for hospitals, specialist outpatient care and primary care available, tested and communicated.
